Elizabeth Taylor remarries for the 4th time, this time she marries famous singer Eddie Fisher causing a great controversy.

Elizabeth Taylor started marrying at a young age, her first marriage was at the age of 18 when she thought she had fallen in love and was in a rebellious stage against her parents. Sadly it did not work out the way she had wanted and his abusive behavior caused a divorce. Her second marriage was a rebound marriage, he was just there to comfort her and it ended in a divorce. Her third marriage however was different she had married Michael Todd and they had their issues along the way, but he died and left her a widow.

On May 12th 1959, around a year later after the death of her husband Michael Todd, Elizabeth remarries for the 4th time, this time she marries famous singer Eddie Fisher. This was no normal wedding, it stirred so much commotion because not only was Eddie Fisher Michael Todd’s best friend, but he also left his wife Debbie Reynolds to marry Elizabeth Taylor.

Unfortunately for them their marriage did not work out and ended in divorce just like two of her previous marriages. In total Elizabeth Taylor married 8 times throughout her lifetime and when interviewed she once said, “I was taught by my parents that if you fall in love, if you want to have a love affair, you get married. I guess I’m very old-fashioned.”
