With up and coming smart phones, pads, tablets and all those hand held devices the creation of apps has risen. Smart phones and all of these devices have access to the web, but they also have apps. When one knows what they need from the web and attain an app of it they are less likely to go “surf” the web. Especially with apps such as twitter, facebook, LA Times, and now even banks have created apps for their customers to check their accounts via mobile devices.

On August 17th 2010, Wired Magazine declares that the Web is Dead as a result of social networking, tablet commuting, apps, rss feeds, and smart phones.

The article released by Wired Magazine displays both sides of the issue and shows how the blame can be placed upon either or. The purpose of the article is to shine light on this issue and on the fact that the web is aging.
