Walt Disney incorporates his first film company, Laugh-O-Gram Films, in Kansas City

Walt Disney recruited Ub Iwerks, known for being an amazing animator and really big during that time period, as well as other friends from Kansas City Film Ad Company to start up the Laugh-O-Gram Films. Keep in mind that during all this Walt Disney was only 20 years old and he was attempting to do big things.

On May 23rd 1922, Walt Disney incorporated his first film company, Laugh-O-Gram Films, in Kansas City. This was a very bold move, and the company was able to sign a contract to produce fairy tale cartoons, but it did not work out very well.

By the end of it all Laugh-O-Gram went bankrupt and Disney moved to Hollywood. Even though it did not work well for Disney, this was the beginning from which the Walt Disney Company took made  Alice in Wonderland.
