Two Former Presidents Attend World Series Game

The World Series is one of the world’s top sporting events, so it is rarely a surprise when celebrities and important figures are seen at the games.  However, in 2010, the World Series audience included two of the most recognized figures in the world, two former U.S. presidents.

On this day, October 31, in 2010, two former presidents, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush attended the World Series for the first time.  The father and son presidential duo, both Texas natives, were present in support of the Texas Rangers who were playing at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Texas against the San Francisco Giants.  At the time, the Rangers were down two games to one against their National League opponents.

Despite having presidential support, the Texas Rangers were not able to win game 4, losing 4-0.  The Giants clinched the series the following day, beating the Rangers 3-1 in Arlington.
