Tina Fey, sketch artist on “Saturday Night Live” and creator of “30 Rock,” is born Pennsylvania

Known for her active role as a comedian on the show “Saturday Night Live,” who would have thought when Tina Fey first started off behind the scenes as a writer for the show that she would become the head writer. Not only did she write for SNL, but also she made her own hit television series after leaving the show. “30 Rock” is still around and bringing in the viewers.

On May 18th, 1970, Tina Fey, sketch artist on “Saturday Night Live” and creator of “30 Rock,” is born Pennsylvania. None of her parents are comedians or have come from the entertainment industry, but they did have a sense of humor, which Tina Fey was exposed to at an early age.

This led her to pursue her interest in comedy throughout high school and ultimately earn a degree in Drama.
