Tiger Woods wins the Masters, sinking a 30-foot chip shot on the 16th hole

Before his marital problems, Tiger Woods was the most popular athlete in sports.  The sport of Golf experienced ratings that it had never enjoyed before, and America loved Tiger.  And during the height of his popularity, Tiger was on top of this game.

It was on this day, April 10th, 2005, that Tiger Woods won the Masters.  He did so in thrilling fashion, sinking a 30-foot chip on the 16th hole to help lead him to victory.

Chris DiMarco played outstanding golf, shooting 12 under for the tournament and finishing with a 68 on the final round.  But he was up against the great Tiger Woods, who with the victory won his 4th green jacket.  This Masters victory was extremely special for Tiger when you consider he won in a playoff after being tied with DiMarco after 72 holes.
