Without a doubt, Tiger Woods is one of the most well-known and successful names in golf history.  Beginning his PGA career in 1996, Woods has won 10 PGA Player of the Year awards,  as well as being the PGA Tour’s leading money winner on nine separate occasions.

On this day, August 12th in 2007, Tiger Woods won his 13th Major Championship, winning the PGA championship.  Woods won the Championship with a three shot lead over American, Woody Austin.  The 2007 victory marked Woods’ second consecutive PGA Championship and fourth overall.

Woods would go on to win his most recent Major Championship in 2008 by winning the U.S. Open.  To date, Tiger woods has won 14 Major Championships and is third all time in PGA Tour wins with 72.
