Steelers defeat Cowboys in Super Bowl XIII

Terry Bradshaw has become known as an outspoken commentator of NFL football, but before he entertained sports fans on TV, he was an outstanding NFL quarterback.

It was on this day, January 21st, 1979, that Terry Bradshaw and the Pittsburgh Steelers won Super Bowl XIII.  They did so by beating the Dallas Cowboys by the score of 35-51.

Terry Bradshaw earned MVP honors for his performance.  He threw for 318 yards and 4 touchdowns – both Super Bowl records.  Bradshaw had already won the MVP award for the regular season, but it was his Super Bowl performance that was one for the ages.
