Marilyn Monroe and Jack Lemmon’s “Some Like It Hot” comedy is released

The film was partially a remake of a French and German film, but the main difference between the United States version and those other films are the gangsters. These gangsters are a crucial part for the film in the U.S because without them it would be very different.

On March 29th 1959, Marilyn Monroe and Jack Lemmon’s “Some Like It Hot” comedy is released. When the film was first released it received positive reviews from the audience and with time it just grew to attain way more prestige that Billy Wilder, the director, would have ever imagined.

With awards ranging from Golden Globe awards to Academy awards there is no reason why it wouldn’t be listed as the greatest American comedy film of all time by the American film Institute.
