After the Clippers shun him by not giving his family tickets, Shaquille O’Neal scores 61 points for the Lakers

Shaquille O’Neal was one of the most dominating forces the NBA had ever scene.  Opposing teams knew not to get Shaq angry, because when he was, he became even more unstoppable.  And the Los Angeles Clippers learned this lesson the hard way due to a ticketing issue.

It was on this day, March 6th, 2000, that the Clippers stunned Shaquille O’Neal by not giving his family tickets to a game.  The Lakers’ star took out his aggression on the Clippers as he scored 61 points – a personal best that he’d never top.

The Lakers won the game 123 – 103.  Shaq played 45 minutes and he also pulled down 23 rebounds in the contest.  Shaq gave the Clippers their medicine, and other NBA teams took notice to not disrespect Shaq before a game.
