Reggie Miller loses to the Pistons in game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals – his last NBA game ever.

Reggie Miller was one of the most exciting NBA players in history.  When the game was on the line in the 4th quarter, no player was more clutch and Reggie rose to the occasion time and time again.  But Reggie never won an NBA title, so his legacy will always be tempered.

It was on this day May 19th, 2005, that Reggie Miller lost to the Detroit Pistons in his last NBA game ever.  The Pistons defeated the Pacers in 6 games, knocking Reggie out of the playoffs for his final time.

Pistons coach Larry Brown did a classy thing at the end of the game when he ensured that the clock would be stopped so that the crowd could honor Reggie.  The home crowd game Reggie a memorable standing ovation that seemed to never end.  In 2007, Reggie nearly came out of retirement to chase a title ring for one final time.  However, he decided not to play because of the grind it would put on his body.
