Cincinnati Reds owner Marge Schott is suspended after making racist remarks about Eric Davis

Marge Schott had always been an outspoken Major League Baseball team owner.  However, when she made racist remarks toward one of her players, she was deservedly punished for her actions.

It was on this day, February 4th, 1993, that Marge Schott was suspended by baseball for making racist remarks.  Multiple people had heard her racist remarks about Cincinnati Reds players Eric Davis and Eric Parker and Major League Baseball stepped in.

Schott was suspended for the entire 1993 season.   At the time, she was the only female Major League Baseball team owner.
