The puppet musical “Avenue Q” wins three Tony Awards, including one for Best Musical.

First it came about as a book and then headed towards becoming a television series, but instead Avenue Q became a musical stage production. Avenue Q is in similar style to Sesame Street because the musical consists of human characters as well as puppets. It breaks down many notions about life and gives a realistic perspective on things.

On June 6th 2004, The puppet musical “Avenue Q” won three Tony Awards, including one for Best Musical. Even though it was nominated for five Tony Awards that year it received only three out of five.
