Princess Anne married Mark Phillips in the early 1970’s. Princess Anne is daughter of Princess Elizabeth making her Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter. As for Mark Phillips he was a lieutenant in the 1st Queen’s Dragoon Guards.
On March 8th 1977, Princess Anne and Mark Phillips announced that they would be expecting their first child, Peter. Nearly three years later after their marriage. This brought joy to many because it would be their first child and many thought it long overdue since they had been married for nearly three years. Eight months later Princess Anne Phillips gives birth to Peter Phillips on November 15th 1977.
Peter Phillips would be the first in 500 years to be born with no royal title even though his family is part of the Monarchy.
