Paramount Pictures, an American film and television production company, debuts at 5555 Melrose Avenue in Hollywood

Known as America’s oldest existing film studio does not mean that it is obsolete in any way.  It all started when Adolph Zukor created the Famous Players Film Company and from there films began to be produced. Zukor got in contact with other major people such as Lasky and Hodkinson to form something bigger than just what he had already created.

On May 8th 1912, Paramount Pictures, an American film and television production company, debuts at 5555 Melrose Avenue in Hollywood. Till this date they remain to have their headquarters in Hollywood, making it the last major film studio to still be located there.

To date even though it has undergone many changes and different owners the company name has stayed intact with the same kind of logo and all. Being around for almost an entire century the company’s film library must be filled with thousands of renowned films as well as some that went under the radar. Paramount Pictures Company is widely known that when viewers see a white mountain, sun in the back, some clouds and stars begin to arise the immediately link it to the company.
