Michael Jordan hits the shot – beating the Cavs with no time left in the decisive Game 5 of the NBA playoffs.

Michael Jordan gave sports fans a plethora of memorable moments.  These moments live in infamy has no player since has captivated the sport like Michael Jordan did.  There is one moment, which sticks out in our minds, as his greatest moment ever.

It was on this day, May 7th, 1989, that Michael Jordan hit a buzzer beater to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the deciding game 5 of the NBA playoffs.  Jordan caught the ball with 3 seconds to go and hit the game winner giving the bulls the 101 – 100 victory.

Jordan finished the game with 44 points, but it was his final 2 points which continue to amaze us to this day.  This shot came before Jordan became an NBA champion, but it would be a sign of things to come, as Jordan would go on to dominate the NBA and lead the bulls to six championships.
