The Beatles attained a record of 20 #1 singles in the time span of around three years.

On May 7th, 1970 The Beatles released “The Long And Winding Road,” making it the band’s last American release as well as making it their last single. Paul McCartney was inspired to write this song by the arising tension amongst the band and this was his outlet to all the issues that were arising.

The Beatles have become such an influential band over the years and to date even though the band disintegrated in the early 1970’s, they still remain very much relevant in culture. A group like that will surely be hard to replace and they have most definitely left their mark in history and in the hearts of many.
