John Lennon and wife Yoko Ono stage a Bed-in for a week, promoting world peace.

John Lennon, known most for being part of The Beatles was also a very large activist for peace. He emphasized his beliefs and shared them with his fans through his music. He wrote a couple of songs concerning peace to provide awareness, but he had this one idea that him in his wife could both do. Shaped after sit-ins John Lennon came up bed-ins.

On May 26th 1969 John Lennon and wife Yoko Ono stage a Bed-in for a week, promoting world peace in Montreal at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel. They invited some of their friends to visit and to take part.

The press would not completely take them seriously and there were mixed reviews about how people felt by their bed-in. Nonetheless Yoko Ono and John Lennon made their message known through their own methods.
