Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the all-time leading scorer in NBA history, plays his last game as a Laker

Kareem Abdul-Jabar was the most consistent Laker of all-time.  Year in and year out, Kareem produced, which enabled him to score the most points in NBA history.

It was on this day, April 23rd, 1989, that Kareem played his last ever game as a Laker.  It would also be the final game of Kareem great career, as the Lakers beat the Seattle Supersonics 121 – 117.

Kareem played in an amazing 1,560 games in his NBA career, and he compiled 38,387 points.   Only Robert Parish played in more games than Kareem but no player has ever came close to reaching Kareem’s record of 38,387 points scored.
