John Stockton sinks a memorable three point shot as the buzzer sounds to send the Jazz to the NBA finals.

Charles Barkley always spoke about how John Stockton was one of the greatest players in the NBA.  Barkley, however wasn’t happy about John Stockton’s greatest moment because it ruined Barkley’s last real chance at an NBA title.

It was on this day May 29, in 1997, that John Stockton sunk a 3 point shot at the buzzer to send the Utah Jazz to the NBA finals.  With the game tied at 100, Stockton took the shot over the outstretched arms of Charles Barkley as the buzzer sounded.

The Jazz would go on to play Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls in the NBA finals.  And even with Stockton and Hall of Fame teammate Karl Malone playing the best basketball of their careers, the Bulls talent was too much as the they defeated Utah 4 games to 2.
