John Paxon hits a 25 foot shot with 4 seconds left earning the Bulls a NBA title over the Suns

When the Chicago Bulls played the Phoenix Suns in the 1993 NBA finals, the Suns had home court.  The Suns also had Charles Barkley who was desperate for an NBA title.  The Bulls, on the other hand, had the greatest player of all-time, and a solid cast around him who could get the job done.

It was on this day, June 20th, 1993, that the Chicago Bulls defeated the Suns to win the NBA finals in six games. With 4 seconds left in 6 games, sharp shooter John Paxon hit the game winning shot to give the Bulls the lead for good.

As history would play out, it wouldn’t be the first time that a role player hit the key shot to seal the title for the Bulls.  4 years, later, in the NBA Finals, Steve Kerr would hit the game winner.   So while Michael Jordan was the best of all-time – his teammates helped him to win those six championships, and they deserve recognition as well.
