Now when many PC and Mac users see the Java logo they think back to when it was actually a “big” advancement or some of the new users have no idea what the purpose of it really is. Java was an essential part for many gaming websites.

On August 27th 1991, the programming language Java is released to the public for the first time – allowing websites to offer games to its users. This was a great advancement in technology because now websites could offer multimedia files and games to their users something that was not possible before.

The best part about it was that it could be run on any type of operating system and platform.
