Lee Harvey Oswald quickly became the most hated man in America when he was arrested for the murder of JFK.  However, conspiracy theories will always exist because Lee Harvey Oswald never stood trial because he was killed by Jack Ruby.  Why did Jack Ruby kill Lee Harvey – was it for a cover up – these are questions that still linger today.

It was on this day, January 3rd, 1967 – that Jack Ruby died of Lung Cancer.  He died in a Dallas hospital just as his appeals trial was getting organized.

At his appeals trial, Jack had planned to clear his name and overturn the death sentence that he had received.  To this day, many still believe that Jack Ruby was involved in the overall plot to kill JFK.  Jack Ruby disputed this until the day he died – and if his appeals trial had happened – it is highly likely that Jack would have presented whatever evidence he could to clear himself of any connection to the JFK tragedy.
