Google releases its innovative social networking service, Google+, to the public

Living in a technology savvy country is one of the many perks that we have as citizens of the 21st century. Through the Internet we encounter a great deal of information and can use it to interact with one another without physically having to be in the same area or even continent. Such social networks have been created to keep people in touch in a much simpler way, that does not require mailing a letter to communicate with one another.

On September 21st 2011, Google releases its innovative social networking service, Google+, to the public. Around the end of June, Google+ was opened only for a test run, but since it proved to be on high demand it became open to the public. This form of social network goes beyond the basic Facebook use because users can communicate with one another through specific groups, but in a much more professional manner than Facebook.

The purpose of Google+ was to have a way for users to communicate and required people to be 18+ years of age to make an account, but it later opened up to 13+ year olds.
