Flintstones live action movie opens in theaters

The Flintstones was a cartoon show about a family that lived in the Stone Age and their neighbors who happened to be their best friends. The cartoon’s main character was Fred Flintstone, who lived with his family in the town of Bedrock. The cartoon ran on television for about 6 years and then came to an end.

On May 27th 1994, The Flintstones live action movie opened in theatres. It was based on the Hanna- Barbara cartoons that ran on air for six years in the 60’s. The film did very well in the box office making over $130 million.

The film had mixed reviews from the critics and from fans, but in the end the ended up being received well amongst most and making a good amount of money. Six years later they released a prequel.
