The Grammy Awards is held for the first time in order to recognize and honor newly released musical accomplishments.

We’ve all watched them and have wished to be sitting from row to admire all the performances and speeches, but can we imagine a time without them. The Grammy Awards is a time when all the music industry comes together to honor those who have excelled in the past year.

On May 4th 1959, The Grammy Awards was held for the first time in order to recognize and honor newly released musical accomplishments.

The reason as to why the Grammy Awards came into being was mainly because while recording executives were choosing who should be given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame they realized that many people deserved some sort of recognition. Not everyone could get a star, but there should be some other way to recognize the accomplishments of many in the music industry.
