For the last episode of “Seinfeld” on NBC after nine seasons, the commercials during the finale cost $2 million each

The sitcom Seinfeld ran for a total of nine seasons and was a great hit while it was on the air and even now old episodes are still aired on television and watched by many. The show received multiple awards ranging from an Emmy to a Golden Globe Award. It was such a great show that for the finale millions were expected to be tuned in and watching.

On May 14th 1998, for the last episode of “Seinfeld” on NBC after nine seasons, the commercials during the finale cost $2 million each. That is a lot of money for just one commercial, but when the compared to being able to attain an audience as large as that of a super bowl it makes sense as to the price.

In fact for 1998 the price for a commercial during the airing of the final season of Seinfeld was higher than that of the Super Bowl, which during that year charged around $1.3 million.
