Emma Stone, star of Easy A and Crazy, Stupid, Love, born in Scottsdale, AZ

Emma Stone’s breakthrough role came in the hilarious comedy Superbad in 2007, where she played a popular high school girl who was still down-to-earth. Shortly after Superbad, her performance in another high school comedy, Easy A, earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy.

It was on this day, November 6, 1988, that Emma Stone was born in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Stone attended high school as a freshman for one semester before convincing her parents to let her move to California through a PowerPoint presentation set to the song “Hollywood” by Madonna.  Since then, she has in many movies such as ZombielandCrazy, Stupid, Love, and The Help.  Stone also played Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man alongside Andrew Garfield.
