David Robinson has the game of his life when he scores 71 points in a game against the Clippers.

David Robinson, also known as the Admiral, was one of the most underrated players in NBA history.  Towards the end of Robinson’s career he was joined by the great Tim Duncan.  This ended up overshadowing Mr. Robinson and allowing many to forget how special of a basketball player he was.

It was on this day, April 24th, 1994, that David Robinson scored 71 points in an NBA game. He did it against the Los Angeles Clippers and the 71 points clinched the NBA seasons scoring title for Mr. Robinson.

The Spurs would defeat the Clippers by a score of 112 – 97.  By winning the NBA scoring title, Robinson joined elite company with George Gervin as the only Spurs to ever win the scoring title.  On the final day of the season, Robinson trailed Shaq for the scoring title.  But the Spurs players wanted to do all they could to help Robinson win the title, and they succeeded in doing so.
