The Dallas Cowboys defeat the Steelers in Super Bowl 30 to win their 3rd title in 4 years

Many great teams are defined by how well they dominated an era.  And in the mid 90’s, the Dallas Cowboys were that team, with a roster composed of such future hall of famers as quarterback Troy Aikman, running back Emmitt Smith, corner back Deion Sanders and Michael Irvin.

It was on this day, January 28th, in 1996, that the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XXX.  With the win, the Cowboys became the first team to ever win three Super Bowl titles in four years.

Larry Brown intercepted two Steelers’ passes, becoming the first ever cornerback to win the Super Bowl MVP award.  The Super Bowl had over 95 million viewers, making it the most watched sporting event of all-time.
