Benglas Browns Second Highest NFL Scoring Game

In the NFL, division rivalries often create some of the most memorable games.  Whether two rivals are playoff bound or having a losing season, the intense competition brings out the best in players.  Evidence of this was seen in 2004, when the Bengals and the Browns put on one of the greatest offensive showings in NFL history.

On this day, November 28th, in 2004,the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cleveland Browns played in the second highest scoring NFL game ever. Although the Browns nor the Benglas were known for highly potent offenses, the teams combined for a record 106 points with the Bengals winning the game 58-48.

The Bengals/Browns performance of 2004 was the highest scoring NFL game in nearly 40 years.  The only game to have more total points was played in 1966, between the Redskins and Giants, with the Redskins winning the game 72-41.  Interestingly enough, the Browns and Bengals also took the record for the 7th highest scoring game in 2007 with a 51-45 Browns victory.
