The Power Mac desktop is released by Apple

Apple Inc. was founded in 1976, and it has quickly grown to become one of the most admired technology companies in the United States. Starting under the name of Apple Computer Inc., the brand has moved to produce more consumer electronics.

It was on this day, June 23rd, in 2003 that the Power Mac desktop was released by Apple Inc.

The entire line of Power Mac desktop computers made up the top-end of Apple’s offerings for a total of twelve years. In 2006, Steve Jobs and Phil Schiller announced that the Power Mac would be retired in order to introduce the new line of Intel-based computers, Mac Pros.
