Anna Nicole Smith first gained fame by becoming the 1993 Playboy Playmate of the Year.  She wanted to become the next Marilyn Monroe and was relatively heavier than any other Playboy model.  She continued on to model for Guess in their jeans campaign as well as the clothing company H&M.

It was on this day, November 28, 1967, that television personality & Playboy model Anna Nicole Smith was born in Texas.  She met future-husband J. Howard Marshall while working at a club and married the oil tycoon when she was 26 and he was 89.  This brought about a lot of controversy because everyone claimed she had married him for his money.  Smith died thirteen months into their marriage, and a long court-case ensued thereafter because Smith was not mentioned in his will.

Smith became the spokesperson for TrimSpa in 2003, which helped her lose 69 pounds.  Smith’s 20-year-old son died in 2006, and Anna Nicole was pronounced dead less than a year later in 2007.
