Alex Rodriguez left Texas for greener pastures in New York City. Arod would go on to win a World Series, but he has always managed to stir up controversy where ever he went.

It was on this day, May 21st, 2004, that Arod returned to Texas for the first time as a New York Yankee. Alex was booed extremely loudly but he quieted the crowd when he smashed a ball over the fence for a homerun.

Alex Rodriguez will go down as one of the best baseball players of all-time.  But his admitted steroid use stained his career, making it harder for him to be accepted as one of the true greats.  It is a shame that we will probably never know how great Alex Rodriguez truly could have been.
