On this day, October 14th, in 1926, Winnie-the-Pooh was published for the first time. Winnie the Pooh would go on to become a marketable character worldwide.

Disney generates revenue from videos, toys, and other merchandise featuring Pooh bear. Pooh stuffed bears range in size from miniature to Beanies and human-sized. Estimates suggest that sales of Pooh merchandise generate as much revenue as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, and Pluto combined.
