Prince Charles and British royal party members are caught in an avalanche while skiing in Switzerland

Going to the snowy mountains of Switzerland for a break sounds like a relaxing time and an escape from daily errands that must be made. Who would ever think that by going on a small visit to the snow one would put their life in danger.  Tragedy strikes at the most unexpected times.

On March 10th 1988 Prince Charles and British royal party members were caught in an avalanche while skiing in Switzerland. Unfortunately one of Prince Charles’ friends was killed in the avalanche and another was injured, but not in critical conditions. The avalanche harmed no one from the royal family.

Prince Charles was very distraught during the whole commotion because he had just lost a friend. Personally Charles had skied those slopes many times before so for this to happen really took him by surprise.
