Known for his unusual voice and exceptional trumpet playing, Louis Armstrong is forced to undergo an emergency tracheotomy in a New York hospital

Louis Armstrong had a talent that was beyond measurable. He could be distinguished for his voice and his amazing skills on the trumpet. Being a part of the Jazz era was definitely for Louis Armstrong seeing as he became a major influence on music in general.

On March 25th 1971, Louis Armstrong was forced to undergo an emergency tracheotomy in a New York hospital. He was 69 years of age when he had to undergo this surgery and his age was taking a toll on his health. Nevertheless he had a long run playing Jazz music and singing that he redefined what is meant to be a Musician. Growing up in segregated times he showed everyone that skin color was not as important as the love and appreciation of music.

Sadly later on that year he passed away due to a heart attack in his sleep.
